What is the Rev Throw?
The Rev Throw is a simple throwing trainer that helps baseball and softball athletes learn, feel, and develop a healthy, powerful throw.
Through rhythmic, repeatable movement, athletes learn proper throwing patterns without complicated instructions or needing a throwing partner.
THE DRILL IS THE INSTRUCTION.
Which size do I need?
Choose by height, not age. The Shorty (blue grip) is designed for athletes under 5 feet tall, and the Pro (red grip) for athletes over 5 feet.
The Shorty is also great for athletes of all sizes performing faster, high-intent, position-specific reps.
Want both? The Thrower's Pack includes one of each.
Is it just for pitchers?
No! The Rev Throw is designed for every baseball and softball position: pitchers, catchers, infielders, and outfielders.
It helps athletes learn and reinforce healthy, powerful throwing patterns they can carry into the game.
What's the difference between the baseball and softball versions?
Both teach the same healthy throwing patterns. The baseball version uses baseballs, while the softball version uses a 9-inch yellow ball.
Both are available in Pro and Shorty sizes.
Why a 9-inch softball?
Through years of testing, we found that 11- and 12-inch softballs caused athletes to negatively change their throwing motion just to maintain their grip on the Rev Throw.
The 9-inch softball allows athletes to maintain a natural throwing motion without compromising their mechanics. This helps athletes develop healthy, repeatable movement patterns that carry over naturally to throwing a regulation softball.
What is Inside90™?
Inside90™ is our top-down throwing system designed to help athletes develop a healthy, natural, and powerful throw. We start with the ball and arm path, then work down through the body to build a connected, repeatable movement.
The system follows three stages:
TRAIN YOUR THROW: Learn and develop the movement with the Rev Throw.
INGRAIN YOUR THROW: Reinforce healthy throwing patterns through intentional repetition.
TRUST YOUR THROW: Bring it into the game with confidence, feel, and understanding.
THE TORSO IS THE ENGINE. THE ARM IS THE WHIP.
Is this just another set of cues?
No. Instead of asking athletes to memorize complicated mechanics, the Rev Throw helps them feel and understand the movement themselves.
With a few simple cues and repetition, athletes develop awareness of what a healthy throw feels like and learn to recognize when something needs adjusting.
THE DRILL IS THE INSTRUCTION.
Will the Rev Throw help increase velocity?
The Rev Throw helps athletes develop more efficient throwing patterns by improving rhythm, timing, and sequencing.
When athletes learn to generate power through their body and allow the arm to work naturally, they create the foundation for a healthier, more powerful throw.
While velocity gains vary, our focus is on developing healthy mechanics that allow athletes to reach their potential.
Will it help a pushy throw?
Yes! In a pushy throw, athletes often keep their arm bent and their hand underneath the ball, pushing it forward instead of getting into position to pull from the top.
The Rev Throw teaches athletes where power comes from and when to accelerate through the proper throwing sequence, allowing the arm to whip naturally into full extension and finish through the ball.
POWER IS IN PULLING.
When can athletes use the Rev Throw?
The Rev Throw is a versatile teaching and training tool for individual athletes, coaches, and group settings. Use it during practice, pregame warm-ups, between innings, in the bullpen, and between games.
It's especially valuable during baseball and softball travel tournaments when athletes may play 2 to 5 games in a single day. Low-stress repetitions help athletes stay prepared while saving valuable full-effort throws for competition.
Athletes can also blend Rev Throw reps with regular throwing to learn and reinforce proper timing, sequencing, and acceleration patterns that carry into the game.
Do I need a throwing partner?
No! The Rev Throw allows athletes to learn, practice, and reinforce healthy throwing patterns without a throwing partner.
Whether it's the offseason, bad weather, holidays, or travel, athletes can train anywhere, anytime. It's also a great tool for preseason buildup and maintaining throwing rhythm throughout the season.
With low-stress, repeatable movement, athletes can stay connected to their throw year-round.
THE DRILL IS THE INSTRUCTION.
Can we use it indoors?
Absolutely! The Rev Throw can be used indoors or outdoors, year-round. All you need is enough clear space to move safely.

THE DRILL IS THE INSTRUCTION.
Can you review my athlete's throw?
Absolutely! We offer free personalized throwing feedback.
Record a short video of your athlete using the Rev Throw, followed by one or two regular throws.
Make sure their full body is visible. An open-side camera angle is best, filming from the side facing the athlete's chest.
Send your video by email or Instagram DM, and we'll review their movement and provide feedback to help them continue mastering their throw.
Who made the Rev Throw?
The Rev Throw was created by former professional baseball players Virgil Vasquez and Alex Trezza.
After learning the movement patterns of a healthy arm path, Virgil spent years training and developing the movement himself.
When he began teaching these principles as a professional pitching coach, the same lessons he wished he'd known as a player, he realized there wasn't a tool that helped athletes feel, understand, and reinforce the movement.
That need led Virgil and Alex to create the Rev Throw, a simple training tool that helps athletes learn, practice, and develop their own healthy throw.
What are Load, Rev, and Accelerate?
Load, Rev, and Accelerate are the three arcs of the Inside90™ Throwing Sequence. Each arc provides an opportunity to build acceleration and develop a healthy, powerful throw.
Think of the sweeping curve of a Nike swoosh or a race car rounding a 180-degree turn. As the Rev Throw moves through these arcs, athletes feel a sense of heaviness that provides an internal cue for timing and acceleration.
LOAD: The arm comes up, with the hand and ball working inward toward the throwing ear rather than outward.
REV: As the hand and ball work inward and behind the head, athletes feel the whip. The Rev arc provides a natural internal cue for when to rotate the body, helping athletes connect their arm path with the body's power.
ACCELERATE: The hand pulls down through the ball, allowing the arm to whip naturally into full extension and finish toward the target.
These three arcs work together to help athletes feel, understand, and repeat a natural throwing sequence.
THE TORSO IS THE ENGINE. THE ARM IS THE WHIP.
What should a good throw feel like?
A healthy throw should feel natural, connected, and powerful, not forced.
Whether an athlete is learning to throw for the first time or has been throwing a certain way for years, the Rev Throw helps them discover what a healthy throw should feel like.
The difference can be felt immediately. Repetition is what locks it in. Sometimes all it takes is one repetition, that "aha moment" when an athlete feels the Rev arc and suddenly understands timing, acceleration, and how their body generates power.
That feeling can change their understanding of throwing. Athletes can see and feel the difference in how their body moves. Their throw feels easier, smoother, and whippier. Each one takes less effort, even when throwing hard or far. The body generates the power, and the arm delivers it naturally.
Once athletes experience that feeling, they have something they can recognize and return to. They don't need to be convinced by a coach. They can feel and understand the difference for themselves.
When the feeling and results speak for themselves, athletes begin to ask:
"WHY WOULD I EVER THROW ANOTHER WAY?"
Repetition helps athletes reinforce that feeling, recognize when something is off, and make adjustments themselves.
FEEL IT. UNDERSTAND IT. TRUST IT.
Can the Rev Throw help with arm pain?
The Rev Throw helps athletes learn and reinforce healthy, natural throwing patterns through low-stress repetitions.
By teaching athletes how to generate power through their body and allow the arm to whip naturally, the Rev Throw encourages a more relaxed, connected throwing motion.
Our belief is simple: Throwing should feel good.
However, the Rev Throw is not a treatment for injuries. Athletes experiencing arm pain should consult a qualified healthcare professional before continuing to throw.
